Another years of “Wanders” have passed –
Snuck up and snuck by, really!
I’m on the road at the moment (where else would I be?), and posting while travelling this year has been a task… One of the biggest difficulties, outside of finding TIME, has been finding reliable internet connection. You’d be forgiven for thinking we were in a developing country, but my husband and I have spent the last two months driving in the US and Canada, so the lack of dependable wifi has been surprising.
Talk about “First World Problems”!
Once again this year, I’ve had the opportunity to visit places where people are much less fortunate than me, and where they smile in the face of life regardless. So, I count my blessings regularly.
The fifty-two photo-stories I have posted (usually on time) over the last year have come from ten countries on four continents. I keep promising myself I will get back into the archives and look at some older travels, but it never quite works out that way. My photo-files and external drives just keep filling up.
It isn’t all smooth sailing, mind you. The last twelve months have been much more challenging than my husband and I expected. We’ve been thrown a few curve balls, and while we haven’t always batted with grace, we have kept hitting…
Not that I am complaining, mind you! I think I will travel till I drop.
And, as I go a-wandering, I love having your company. I really appreciate the comments, whether they are on the blog itself, in person, via email, or otherwise. And, even if you don’t comment, Google Stats tell me you are there. 😉
It’s nice. Thanks!
I look forward to your company for another year.
Great to see you still going strong! I kinda miss the old days on Flickr, all the Thailand based forums have changed too. I should learn from you and change with the times!
Hey Guava! Great to see you!
I too miss the old days of Flickr – it has got so “big” that groups don’t feel the same. I don’t put in the time that I used to – especially when we are travelling and have very limited internet time.
Still, it is a different kind of forum, so I guess it depends on what you are doing!
Have been with you every step of the way Ursula, well, almost!
I have enjoyed following you here and elsewhere as you know, and I am afraid my own travels are rapidly approaching an end, old father time catches up will us all sooner or later, so your travels take on extra significance.
Please, keep on wandering, and do please keep blogging!
Take care now,
ol’Pete.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the posts. It has been good discipline for me to keep it up!
My daughter is in England, so maybe one day I’ll make it to your charming corner of the world.
